Ixion Volunteers

Building on the success of helping entrepreneurs in London and around the South East over the last 2 years (7000 start-ups to date), Ixion has launched www.ixionvolunteers.co.uk. Ixion hopes the site becomes the go to place for Mentors to find businesses that need early start-up help.

The last 2 years has seen event guests Iain Duncan Smith and Esther McVey, present awards to some of Ixion’s best entrepreneurs at our annual Ixion Enterprise Awards. Levi Roots has also been on hand to visit some of the businesses that were helped. Ixion has now been given the task by Government to continue the support to London’s Entrepreneurs by being awarded the New Enterprise Allowance for the next 2 years.

None of this success would have been possible if it wasn’t for the help and support of the volunteer Mentors. Ixion now has around 400 mentors supporting start-ups. The businesses they have helped will go on to help the UK’s economy for many years to come.

In the coming months Ixion will host mentoring events in and around London to help the initial contact of the Mentor and the Mentee. Allowing the Mentor to continue the support if they wish. This will also create a vibrant atmosphere of Entrepreneurs and Mentors to network and support each other.

Ixion is a not for profit subsidiary of the Anglia Ruskin University.
