Responsive to market

A good mentoring organisation identifies changes in the market and responds to them by making suitable refinements and developments to the mentoring service being provided.

Examples of best practice include:

  • Ensure organisation is fully aware of and responsive to national and local business issues and changes in the economic environment/local market
  • Work with local partners to ensure service offer is complementary to and additional to other local services
  • Regular comms and/or events for mentors to cascade information re the current market
  • Develop a strategic and sustainable business model that is under regular review and responsive to changes in the market
  • Use all of the resources available to gather feedback on the current business environment/ market and use to improve/refine/develop service offer in order to remain competitive and sustainable
  • Regular review, evaluation and improvement of practices, processes and services according to market needs
